Welcome to the Palgrave Learn-to-Run and Trail Running Club which is now in its 10th year!

We love trail running because it takes you into the forest on soft trails that are kind on the joints. It is never boring as nature changes every week. The trails are soft and the air is amazing. There are hills that provide challenges, obstacles to keep you focused and we feel we have an awesome group of people to keep you company.

The Learn-to-Run clinic for our novice runners covers the first 10 weeks and will slowly progress from 1 minute intervals to 5k of trail running. Participants are required to practice at least once a week on their own, to be able to progress with the rest of the group.

Meeting point is Palgrave Forest parking lot at Hwy 50 (just north of Palgrave) for a group warm-up before we split into groups depending on speed and endurance. Everyone returns at around 7:20pm for a cool down and stretch.

Running Coaches

Nikola Boadway
Nikola is not a runner, but loves outdoor exercise and the variety of running on the trails. After a 2-year sabbatical due to a knee injury, she is excited to be back and will coach the beginner group starting with 1min slow running intervals. She understands the social motivation of a group run and will keep the group focused and challenged every week.

Tina Haller
CanFitPro certified Personal Trainer and accomplished runner. Tina loves the challenge of trail running, but also completed several marathons. Tina has conducted learn-to-run clinics for many years and knows how to take a novice runner from walking to running within 10 weeks.
